I would like to try flax weaving because it looks like a lot of fun.
Flax weaving would interest me because of what you can weave
with just flax like, a fish, a headband, a basket and many more
things. Over all flax weaving seems like a fun thing to do.

Activity 2 Mighty Mangroves
I think that Matilda is tough and strong.
Matilda is a character from one of the Roald Dahl books.
Her parents already had a child and they did not want another
one so they treated her unfairly from the moment she was born,
because her brother got what he wanted and she didn’t.
She has to teach herself how to cook and read because her
parents didn’t send her to school until she was around six or seven.

- They live in Eastern Carolina
- It takes about 10 day to digest an insect
Pitcher Plant
- It has a very unusual leaf structure
- Some type of this plant and eat mice
- Pitcher Plants live in South East Asia
Similarities
- Both plants eat insects
- They are both carnivore plants
- You can keep both plants in your house

I am glad that you would like to try flax weaving - I think it would be pretty cool too!
I quite like doing crafty things that make me have to problem solve...I started to teach myself how to macrame two years ago and that reminds me of flax weaving a little bit! Lots of problem solving :)
What do you think you would make first?
I think it would be pretty cool to make a school bag. :)

I really enjoy Roald Dahl books but I haven't read Matilda before... Is that your favourite?

I have seen a Pitcher Plant before though - It was on a trip to Malaysian Borneo - On a sign it said that they sometimes get called 'Monkey Cups' - I thought that it was a pretty good name for them because it really did look like the perfect cup for a monkey. :)

I have read the book Matilda and seen the movie, if you get a chance you should read Matilda it is a good book. I have finished reading two book this holidays, a Harry Potter book and another one I forgot the name of. What books have you read this holidays?
I would like to have a Venus fly trap in my home to catch the annoying flies. :)

Maltilda is a great choice for your strong persoon because shes also mentally strong as well as tough. I have never watched the movie or read about matilda but know so little about her. Do you like the movie? Why or why not?
